We partner with parents and educational services to provide an add-on curriculum. As the service is customized to the student, success is found in projects that explore their interests. As a project coach, we set the framework and guidelines for a successful project. We help students develop their Problem into a Plan to build a Project to Present to the world.
Like a compass, we not only guide, but also help when you get lost.

More than a lab or a lesson, Project Based Learning allows for student driven exploration and inquiry. The questioning begins around a central topic or theme. With investigation, a fact driven process is developed. This process is followed with a mix of success and error. The result is an authentic piece of work. The work and the lessons learned are then communicated to the world. This process can be broken down into many pieces, but it follows these four basic pillars: Problem, Plan, Produce, and Present.

Project Based Learning builds skills that support all academic learners. This allows the student to own their education and the inquiry can follow their independent thoughts and authentic curiosities. These critical thinking skills transition to the life skills of planning and building a product. Finally, communication is key in today’s world. The presentation skills bring in computer, audio, visual, and public speaking. This is often the scariest but most rewarding life skill.

Project Based Learning Partners is lead by Scott Robinson bringing experience from the classroom and the business world. Experience results in the belief that Project Based Learning has a positive and lifelong impact on student success.
The student is taken through the process of developing a problem to solve in a subject that they are interested in. With some background and research, the develop a plan. This is executed to produce a solution that then gets presented.
This is oversimplified as there are infinite steps in every part of the process. We are here to keep the project on course.
Developing a problem is often the hardest steps. First, it must be aligned to the student's interest. If they don't care, the project is not set up for success. The ideation process includes drafts, changes and pivots. In the end, the problem should be easy to define and have concrete measurements that will be able to be evaluated for results. Here we help guide to avoid future problems.
The tedious part is the plan. You take the excitement of your idea and need to slow it down before running ahead. This often involves reaching out to experts, studying what other have done and identifying all of the required resources. Be aware the line from the poet Robert Burns often holds true, "The best laid plans of mice and men often go awry." We do our best to prove Robert wrong.
This is where the work gets done. Despite great planning there will surely be some trial an error. The product may be a prototype, an experiment, a research paper, an art exhibit, a charity event or a business plan. Our coaches know that you can learn as much from failure as success but the key to the product is to have something measurable to report on.
"All the world's a stage"
The work and been put in and now is time for reward. Present your findings to the world. A project can compete at the local, state, national, or international level. There are 100s of competitions tailored for students. When the fit is not a competition, it is up to the student to put their voice out there through a publication, website or online portfolio. This is the time to sharpen public speaking skills. Tackle one of the most intimidating life skills with the support of our team.
Pride of accomplishment. In the end, a student will never show a test score at a job interview. This provides an experience and a product that allow the student to build a professional educational resume. The life skills are immeasurable. With accomplishment comes rewards. Scholarships, mentorships, college acceptance, and the potential to find a lifelong passion. The end result can be life changing and it is what our team is proudest of.
